The second season of the tattoo reality competition Ink Master premiered on Spike on October 9 and concluded December 18, 2012 with a total of 13 episodes.
Season 2 follows sixteen tattoo artists competing against each other in an elimination-style competition leaving the last person standing with a $100,000 grand prize, a feature in Inked Magazine and the title of Ink Master. Dave Navarro returned as host while Chris Núñez and Oliver Peck also returned to co-judge the competition. The double episode finale included the live season finale that was filmed in front of a studio audience.

Epilogue
Tatu Baby competed in Season 3 where she also competed in the finale and finished third. That season, Mark Matthews, TJ Hal, Ron Givens, Kay Kutta, Cee Jay Jones, Clint Cummings, Nick D'Angelo and Sarah Miller appeared as guest human canvases in the eighth episode's elimination tattoo.
Mark Matthews appeared on Ink Master: Redemption where he earned redemption for his cover-up.
Ron Givens appeared on Ink Master: Redemption where he failed to receive redemption for his Virgin Canvas tattoo after losing a head to head against Season 4 contestant Randy Vollink.
Jesse Smith has appeared on Ink Master: Redemption twice, earning redemption for his New School tattoo and his portrait tattoo.
Sebastian Murphy appeared on Ink Master: Redemption twice where he earned redemption for his Black and Grey tattoo and his cover-up.
Clint Cummings starred in the Tattoo Nightmares spin-off Tattoo Nightmares: Miami. He also competed in the Hallowink special and finished fourth. He also appeared on Ink Master: Redemption where he received redemption for his horror tattoo.
Tatu Baby competed in the special Merry Ink and became the first artist eliminated. She has also been featured on season 3 of Ink Master: Redemption where she redeemed her American Traditional tattoo and her animal tattoo. She also appeared briefly on Ink Master: Angels, welcoming the Angels to Miami and offering a shop for them to use for their first challenge.
Cee Jay Jones finished third in the New Year's Ink special.
Nick D'Angelo would go on to win the Cupid's Ink special. He has been featured on Ink Master: Redemption twice, once attempting redemption for his new school tattoo. However, he lost that chance after losing a head to head against Season 2 winner Steve Tefft. However, Dave Navarro allowed him to tattoo him personally as a substitute for redemption. He also redeemed his winning tattoo on Ink Master: Cupid's Ink.
Steve Tefft finished second in the Master Vs. Master special. He has been featured twice on Ink Master: Redemption. He first tattooed Nick D'Angelo's new school canvas after winning a head to head. He also won a head to head against Runner-Up Sarah Miller, earning redemption for his cover-up tattoo.
Sarah Miller and Jesse Smith returned for Ink Master: Revenge. The former was introduced in the sixth episode but was eliminated in the next episode where the latter was introduced as the seventh returning veteran. Smith would go on to be eliminated in the tenth episode.
Sarah Miller competed on Sirens of Ink and won the special while Mark Matthews acted as her human canvas in the first elimination tattoo.
On December 23, 2016, Clint Cummings died from stage 4 colorectal cancer. He was 36 years old. In the Bigger'n Dallas Episode of Ink Master Angels, the Angels visit Clint's family's shop and tattoo canvases affected by colorectal cancer in his honor.
Lalo competed on Ink Master: Shop Wars alongside Ink Master: Revenge contestant Picasso Dular to represent their shop House of Monkey Tattoo. They re-entered the competition in the fourth episode and were eliminated in the sixth episode. Lalo also appeared on Ink Master: Redemption where he received redemption for his American Traditional tattoo through a collaboration with Season 3 winner Joey Hamilton.
Steve Tefft is scheduled to appear on Season 10 to serve as a coach for a new group of artists.
